T V Sundaram Iyengar (Thirukkurungudi Vengaram Sundaram Iyengar) and Joseph Lucas, an English entrepreneur from Birmingham, collaborated to establish Lucas Indian Service Ltd in India in 1930. Lucas TVS was founded in 1962 as a joint venture between Lucas Plc. of the United Kingdom and the TVS Group of India.India’s dominant and most respected after-market solution provider in its area of specialization.

Lucas-TVS is India's premier vehicle electrical manufacturer, with 50 years of design and manufacturing experience.
